With more than 12 million inhabitants, the Île-de-France region is the most populated territory in France, with 2.5 million buildings
The territory faces many constraints (infrastructure saturation, very strong environmental stakes, strong land pressure ...).
The project « Building for the future, Living in the future » aims to meet the great challenges of the territory:
- Designing spaces that adapt to changing needs and uses,
- Promote good living together,
- develop the continuity of territorial services,
- integrate the environmental transition of buildings,
- support innovation and excellence in the building and construction sector.
The Regional Council wishes to consider «Live» in connection with its environment and its time to create a welcoming territory at the service of its inhabitants, allowing everyone from the permanent inhabitant to the passing user, to fit in and become an actor. The project’s budget is 310 million euros.
